Sierra Bravo Exceeds Expectations in its First Year of Business
BLOOMINGTON, MN, November 2, 2004 — Sierra Bravo exceeded its expectations at the end of the first twelve months in business. Sierra Bravo was founded by Luke Bucklin, Mike Schmidt and Mike Derheim in October, 2003 as a web solutions provider.
By the end of October, 2004, Sierra Bravo tripled its staff to nine full-time employees, all skilled software developers with a wide range of experience in various technologies. Sierra Bravo continues to offer a wide range of web solutions to its customers, however, its B2B Online Store has been the flagship product over the past several months.

By using mainstream software development technologies such as PHP, Java and Microsoft .NET to create solutions for its customers using legacy business systems, Sierra Bravo has been able to add seasoned web developers to its staff without searching for individuals with highly-unique skill sets. “It’s a major growth-inhibitor when you need to find a web developer with mainframe programming experience.
