Initializes the Pick overflow reclamation process.

Syntax

reclaim-ovf {(options}

Description

the overflow reclamation process allow user to recover all frames not used by the system to the overflow space, thus elimitating the necessity of a file-save/restore.

The process will be initiated with the verb 'start-reclaim-ovf' after system has been shutdown properly and the new overflow table initialized.

Options

b initiates the overflow reclamation process in the background.

f displays the file names as they are scanned.

i reuses the same pre-allocated workspace.

k kills the overflow reclamation process

n user specifies the number of pre-allocated frames (without n-option, 100 frames will be pre-allocated as default).

r resumes a previously suspended RECLAIM-OVF.

s inquires status of the overflow reclamation process.

u unconditionally kills the RECLAIM-OVF process.

x suspend the currently active RECLAIM-OVF process.
