tcl.set-date

Verb: Access/TCL, Releases: AP and R83

Changes system date.

Syntax

set-date mm/dd/yy{yy} {(option)} set-date dd mmm yy

Description

sets the system software date, and optionally the system hardware clock.

In AP, the date displays automatically at the TCL prompt by simply pressing <return>, <enter> or <ctrl>+m.

On AP/Unix, the Pick date is set as a difference from the Unix date. Normally, the difference is zero, making both dates equal.

Synonym for 'set.date' and 'set.dt'.

Options

u Updates the hardware real-time clock, as well as the system software clock. (Not in AP)

Example

set-date 01/01/97
